Exercise - Presenting yourself

It's a good time to look back and reflect but its really difficult to see what other people see in my work because I'm so close to it. I went through my blog and picked out the images that I'm most pleased with but does that mean that they are the best illustrations? Here they are, you judge them.

I'm also quite pleased with my You are Here artists book but it still needs reworking and both it and the little zines are difficult to represent on a website so I've left them out for the moment.

These images can be loosely grouped into Reportage, Narrative, Figures and Promotional/Decorative. Using these categories I put them onto Behance https://www.behance.net/carol49153d536

They are obviously student work in that they are quite varied in genre but I can see that they have a similar style even though I've not tried to do this though I notice that I do draw a bit differently when I'm doing reportage style projects.  I would say that I am a figurative illustrator using mainly ink and body colour. I don't think that at this stage they are a coherent enough body of work to stand up to market scrutiny but it will be interesting to see if anyone looks at them on Behance.
