Reflection on feedback for part 4

Overall this was positive. My contemporary ceramics weren't contemporary enough which I agree with. I do spend a lot of time on each exercise and I did rush that one a bit because of the length of time I had already spent on the other projects and because Christmas was approaching and I knew that I wasn't going to get much work done in December. I did buy some transfer paper to print my designs onto for ceramics but it didn't work well. I responded to the suggested references at the bottom of the Contemporary Ceramics post.

My tutor also suggested that I look at the work of Yasmeen Ismail for examples of combining analogue and digital techniques. The way that she works doesn't look digital at all to me and I only understood her technique by reading about it in her FAQ section. Using digital manipulation of watercolour elements allows her to overlay bright colours over dark ones as she has done here. It's a really interesting technique which opens watercolour to more dramatic effect.

I need to find a way to show you my sketchbooks. I do draw a lot, every day, most of what I do isn't coursework and a lot of it is just a half finished doodle, but theres a lot of it which would take forever to post and would make it difficult to find my coursework amongst it. Maybe I can show a bit by making a video of me flipping through some sketchbooks (the passing shadow is the cat coming to see what's going on!).
